BSB MONDELLO PARK - ROUND 5 - 15/05/05 The weather at Mondello Park in Ireland was sunny all weekend, but with a cold wind on Friday and Saturday, although Sunday race day dawned warm and sunny. Jonathan Rea (Red Bull Rookies Honda) was the surprise pole man from qualifying, probably due to his local knowledge. He was joined on the front row by Glen Richards (Hawk Kawasaki), Leon Haslam (Airwaves Ducati) and Ryuichi Kiyonari (HM Plant Honda). RACE 1 Riyonari forced his way to the front to lead from lap 1 to the end of the race. Richards was running in 2nd and Haslam in 3rd, with Rutter in 4th. Richards and Haslam crashed out on lap 7, handing 2nd place to Rutter who held on to it to the end. James Haydon, deputising on the Rizla Suzuki for John Reynolds, was in 3rd place until he made a mistake on the last lap. Gregorio Lavilla (Airwaves Ducati), finished 3rd, with Karl Harris (Honda) finishing 4th. Rea crashed out on lap 1. Results: 1.Kiyonari, 2. Rutter, 3.Lavilla, 4.Harris, 5.Scott Smart (Rizla Suzuki), 6. Michael Laverty (Stobart Honda). RACE 2 Richards was leading at the end of lap 1, but Haslam took over on lap 4. Kiyonari, Michael Laverty (Stobart Honda) and Lavilla were swapping places regularly until Lavilla took the lead on lap 14, to take the win from Haslam, Kiyonari and Laverty. Rea went out again on lap 14. Results: 1. Lavilla, 2. Haslam, 3. Kiyonari, 4. Laverty, 5. Rutter, 6. Richards. SUPERSPORT Cal Crutchlow (Honda) had his second pole position in a row, with Tom Sykes (Suzuki), Leon Camier (Honda) and Jay Vincent (Honda) also on the front row. Crutchlow lead the race for a while until Sykes took over and went on to win. Craig Jones (Honda) came through to take 2nd place with Crutchlow eventually finishing 4th and Pere Riba (Kawasaki) 3rd. Results: 1. Sykes, 2. Jones, 3. Riba, 4, Crutchlow, 5.Stuart Easton (Ducati), 6. Eugene Laverty (Honda). SUPERSTOCK Ryan Rainey
(Yamaha) took pole position on his 'home' track, with Paul Young (Yamaha),
Andy Tinsley (Suzuki) and Lee Jackson (Yamaha) joining him on the front
row. These four dominated the race with finishing order being
