It was another double win for Gregorio Lavilla (Airwaves Ducati) at Oulton Park, but this time he had to fight for it in both races. In race one it was Shane Byrne (Rizla Suzuki) who gave Lavilla a run for his money, even leading for a couple of laps at one point. Byrne finished a gallant second, despite being ill, holding off Lavilla's team mate Leon Haslam. James Haydon on the other Rizla Suzuki finished in a not too distant 4th place. In race two it was Karl Harris on the HM Plant Honda who hounded Lavilla all the way, almost beating him on the line. Harris made a desperate effort to pass at Lodge Corner, but ran a bit wide, leaving the racing line to Lavilla, who only just managed to hold on for the win. Shane Byrne once again rode a good race to give him 3rd place, after an incident at Hizzy's chicane which saw 3rd finisher Jonathan Rea (Red Bull Honda) demoted to 4th. Haslam, who had to start from pit lane on his spare bike rode magnificently, charging through the pack from last to finish in 5th place.
